I have done it, I have broken my old record of most embarassing moments. Yesterday I had lunch out with a new friend. We did lunch, then Hobbie Lobby and enjoyed talked….then ran back by the house to say goodbye where her car was waiting….meanwhile, the conversations were too fun to stop so we went in…..to where an extended disaster in the kitchen, dining, and living room was awaiting me as daughter is unloading her room preparing to paint it Friday, the torrential rains the other day has gifted me with clothes in storage being dampened when there was a leak, and the kitchen was not as Flylady pleads with me to do….cleaned before I went to bed.
EEEK!
and that wasn’t the worst of it, but that was in the front door!
The poor visitor was gracious stepping through the parade of things that didn’t belong here or there….and meanwhile I shared with her the sites we’re working on, and the office things we were discussing thinking….”Well at least I’ll never have to dread her coming over unexpectedly, it won’t get worse than it is today!”

Hospitality…..welcoming them where you are, as you are, and caring more about the visit than the setting…..keeping repeating that over and over again and perhaps I’ll get past the mortally embarassing moments…..was all I was thinking…..
God is good, I am thankful for a new creative friend…..and lunch was great!
