And the season scrimmage was tonight, all two and a half hours of glorious bleacher seats worth of it. It was great fun to see son2 get to do his five year dream. Our old school wasn’t big enough to support a football team, so this is his first varsity team to play on.
Aabama football is indeed a legendary thing here, even in the high school stands, one has an ominous feeling about where these boys are heading….and its a good kind of thing.
Scored one today myself when I went to JCPenney and had a new pair of Lee jeans for $4.50 after a 50% off coupon and they were already 50% off. Wahoo! Best part is they were size 14 regular…officially out of the plus sizes! The shirt that came home for 3.99 was a XL not a 1x or 2x so that counted too!
Dinner tonight was grilled steak over linguine and spinach with zucchini and squash cubed and stir fried with the steak. Gotta love a way to feed them vegetables in a way they won’t riot but is still relatively healthy for them.
Can’t wait for church tomorrow and a quiet day. God is good, and once again we are blessed!
