Where did the week go? It is as though some weeks I look up Sunday early morning and blink and it is Friday already! I’d like to tell you that means we got a good amount done on #TheTackyBrownHouse but the truth is this week it’s been electrical. We’re changing electrical boxes as the final stage of the rewiring and that means the adventures continue. Have you tried to coordinate a newlywed electrician, a rural power company, and a husband lately? It’s akin to trying to find the Raiders of the Lost Ark in the same room as oh, Harvard professors. Did I mention that they are talking no electricity at the house as they change over the power for 24 to 72 hours in JULY? We won’t think on how the computers, servers, internet, and…gulp…the air conditioning run on electricity.
Let’s go back and review:
a. Sweetie doesn’t like hot houses, not even the ones intended for blooming flowers.
b. Electricity is required to not have a hot house
c. Sweetie lives in the deep South in a house that will be without electricity during the hottest week of the year.
d. Her refrigerator and freezer REALLY like electricity
Some days its better to be Scarlett and think on that another day. They are working on a solution, but it has been a challenging week of scheduling to say the least.
We’re still waiting the flooring for the Master bedroom, though we have enjoyed being in the room for a few weeks. It has given us new perspectives of how we want to finish the furniture and bedding choices as well as what pieces will end up in the room.
It is a wonderful time of discovery these moments lately, the children are growing or grown, Les is beginning a new role in his career, my own businesses are thriving, and one has time to realize just how blessed we are even on stress filled weeks. Our perspective is such an important part of our life experience and the last few weeks I have so intentionally worked on focusing my perspective to realize just how amazing this daily life of mine is!
