Sunday night I drove up to Brentwood late so I would be in the HGDiTV studio lot by 7:30 a.m. I dislike being away from @morefromles when the children are visiting grandparents, but in this case it seemed he was almost insisting….couldn’t figure it out….then he slyly mentioned with me working he could, uh hm, go hunting for two days….and we’d meet up on Wednesday for a Christmas fun day!
Yesterday I was in the HGDiTV studios for almost 16 hours. My role there is Events Coordinator and for the first time yesterday I actually was in charge of the entire production end of the filming as well. I have wanted to learn every role we hire in the studio, for I think as a teacher/worker/business person you only appreciate that which you truly understand. I am a novice, but at the end of the day I was so excited to have filmed 14 promotional pieces and one training product for a client group. How exciting to know something you helped created out of scripts, art, and concept will be airing within days….Wheeee! The process at HGDiTV is different than any other studio I have ever worked with…Mr. Cooper’s team is able to plan, shoot, edit, and roll out finalized products in a 72 hour period, often, like yesterday…the same day…LOVE that…so many opportunities are missed when businesses cannot get something produced quickly enough!
I was delighted to work with business leaders from Atlanta yesterday that founded IBAL Imagine Believe Achieve and Learn, they inspire me with their deep desire to help businesses develop strong committed peer groups for professional and personal growth. Delightful people, Kathleen Smart, Michael and Karen Moore! What a blessing!
Brentwood is foggy and beautiful this morning. I know folks like Michael Hyatt, Maurilio, and Spence Smith go running every day, but I’m a bit shy of running in a town I am still finding my way around (well, yes, there is that whole opposed to running period part of me….:)…but I did get out and walk the fog this morning….the lights made it look like a wonderland scene when I drove to the walking trail….loved it!
My door was knocked on loudly at 4:00 am. Apparently the carpenters working on a beautiful installation project here locally from Kentucky did not realize their rooms were only the first 4…the gentleman looked quite shocked when I finally came to the door…hince my early morning productivity today…4:00 is about an hour earlier than normal! We’re meeting this morning at 7;45 at Starbucks for coffee this morning with some Twitter friends to meet in real life (irl)
How fun will that be?
Last night I was privileged to dine at Bricks again in Brentwood, I simply love their smoked chicken enchiladas…..yum!! I love Mere Bulles as well and hope that I can talk Les into visiting there on our Christmas day out in town! One of my favorite memories is eating dinner with Stephanie, Allison, Sherry, Angela, David, and myself there for dinner one night! Loved it!
What a beautiful thing yesterday morning to see a woman in Starbucks doing her Bible study by herself at 7:00 a.m. Her countenance was so beautiful and I loved that she later told me she had a date with God every Monday morning that way! I love my own early morning dates with God…but mine are usually the Bible and a cup of cocoa type at home!
I do love being in Tennessee….my life is so diverse when I am working here from what it is at home…but I do love that my husband allows me to be here 4-6 working days a month….it works for us and its working for the studio…of course many days I am home by 6…other days Madison enjoys a homeschool activity here and I work half days and then we explore the museums and activities in Tennessee!
Yesterdays simple joy? Realizing that there was no reason “not” to go to Starbucks and experience people watching for the extra hour I had….sometimes the simple joy is realizing that the only reason we don’t do something is because we didn’t! I gave me permission to say “yes” yesterday and it was fun!
