Do you know that football is an encompassing thing in Alabama? Our second son is playing varsity football this year. It seems when you’re six three and 215 at 14, coaches just see you as potential worth developing. We have entered the twilight zone called Alabama high school football. Their organizations for team support could go up against any small corporation, heck I’m not sure they couldn’t out do large ones after our last meetings. Today at 7 a.m….yes that’s Saturday folks….we begin a many hour round of pictures with the team. Thankfully we are excited about having our picture taken in uniform, for it might have been tough otherwise to get a boy up and dressed by 6 a.m. and out the door. This football thing, well, its quite an amazing process…its reminescent of coming home from kindergarten when “teacher said” was the regular phrase. Nowadays its “coach says.”
Truth is, I sure am thankful coach is a Christian, for it seems his own coach’s instruction starts with “God said”
