The first three days of this week I’ve been in Brentwood, TN. It is always an experience to navigate life when you’re still not seeing really well, but that is indeed what one has to do! Madison came with me to have some Mom and Me time while I worked in the studio and we managed to make each day so much more fun because she was here!
For a child raised in the country, the concept of a Christmas tree lot was amazing to her…we’re used to knowing the tree farmers and seeing that end of the industry, she was amazed they really do have “tree lots” just like the Hallmark channel movies….and Charlie Brown…
The grocery stores are quite different as well…while we live in Decatur now, we moved from a store with only 3 aisles, so you can imagine how fun she thought the Fresh Market Christmas Displays were….
Restaurants are almost more than she can manage….we were blessed with meals at P.F. Changs and Chuy’s while we were here as well as the Puffy Muffin….Madison has adopted the Cooper’s forever for introducing her to such amazing restaurants…not to mention Mr. David taking Madison to the Christmas tree farm, out to see Christmas lights, Sam’s, AND sent her to see Blindside…talk about a lady’s Christmas wishes being granted!
She loved it all…and I believe my favorite parts were simply seeing her so excited about it all…
Madison was even invited to make a video or her blog while at the HGDiTV live studios…and she did…what fun!
We did produce 11 pieces in the studio in 3 days, so work was accomplished but we surely enjoyed a three day experience with Miss Madison with us!
Today we have a morning and early afternoon to simply show Madison more of Nashville and I know she’ll be delighted! What a blessing this week has been!
