Come on in Girls! I am so ready to have some sit down time and good ole fellowship with you cute things! This past week was another frantic kind of way too much going on week, learning new grooves and revisiting priorities. The younger children’s father remarried last weekend in another state, so I was there as transportation for them to the wedding and in a nearby town awaiting their return. Coming home we faced alot of emotionality as their world has once again changed…..although we are happy their dad is happy….but it is new thing…Divorced for 9 years, it has been a long singlehood and of course time for him to remarry if he chose, but they have had four months to adjust to meeting and now marrying their new young stepmother….they like her very much, she has kindly included them in the wedding and in her life. The children have welcomed her into our lives as we had hoped they would…but it is stil change and change is sometimes stressful.

On the home front, the painting we did over Valentine’s has left me with a pleasingly finished daughter’s room and the kitchen still in process. Daughter simply loves being in her room now…which is nice for a home schooling mom who might need a break from time to time. I enjoyed spending time at Steinmart and T J Maxx’s in Arkansas looking for go withs and scored a couple of iron fruit towers to use in the new kitchen. It seemed like we had a house full of teens every afternoon this week and into the evenings, but we love their drop in sharings…
The Lenten season is upon us and I am still pondering in awe of all that God has created for us. To have so much in store for us before we are even existant just amazes me at His goodness! I won a book Spectacular Sins from the Christian Book Exp0 (coming up in Dallas March 19-22) drawings and have had new things to ponder….and am in awe of God’s sovereignty once again….
I learned this week to stop and think through….we change dish sets around here all the time..from about six sets I mix and match….one in particular is not microwave friendly so I stopped using it. Its dainty colors and coffee cups with saucers have added that “sigh” moment of pretty I have needed this week. Its delicate and feminine swirls remind me that I need to allow myself to be that which God created me to be too, feminine….Sometimes taking the time to simply use what we have differently is so important….I need lovely around me, it calms me…When I take time to create nice and well done I find my best self….so I am starting with me….and as I nurture me…I can more easily relax and nurture others….my joy and peace become more constant as I take time to show them love and accept God’s love in quiet moments.
Trista has worked used her artistic ways to create the new look here…I am so glad to have found another Alabama girl to work with! I hope you will join the Follower’s box so that I may see your pretty faces too! I am intrigued at who reads my crazy life….and am so glad to know you all!
God has opened many doors this week…and closed others…and I am doing my best to stay within His peace so that I too may share the open door for others…..to know God and be loved by Him too.

Hope everyone adjusts well to the changes. I know what you mean…even if the change it good or positive, it still takes time getting used to it.
Have a great weekend.

Oh sweetie! I so enjoy hangin’ around at your place! Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. : )
I especially enjoyed your post on things overheard around your house. Sometimes I wish I had a camera on 24-7 around here. My two year old’s new favorite thing to say is “ohhhh, niiiiccee” all drawn out and so cute-like! He got it from me. I think I say the word “nice” about 50 times a day.
You’ve found a follower in me,
