Sometimes you just have to handle it as it comes……this morning we were out of dog food, the labs outside chime together in chorus by 6:00 a.m. if they are not fed. You see, we run a pretty tight ship around here, the children and dogs are ruling the schedule lately! The lab pup, now six months old, had broken into the stash in storage, and the two geriatric labs were not amused. I am opposed to grocery stores or Walmart at 5:45 in the morning so Madison and I got this bright eyed look and decided that we’d make the dog food this morning.
It turns out that gourmet breakfast for geriatric labs today involves broasted chicken broth over brown rice with carrots and a hint of leftover beans.
Sadie, our one earred geriatric lab up and looked at with much sincereity and thought out loud something like “Finally”….she “finally gets it”
They’ll prolly be disappointed tomorrow when Purina will be their chef.
