We are often stubborn folks. We look in the mirror and think that if we try harder, work longer, or reach further we will be able to accomplish more. We forget that living within us, if we are people of faith, that the Holy Spirit empowers us through Grace…the Power of God…and the highest price you’ll pay for the Holy Spirit’s presence is whatever you have to do to let go of your need to control, to struggle, forget your past, and to toil to release yourself to our Creator who is supernatural in our lives when we allow Him to be.
This week I was privileged once again to experience the exquisite unfolding of God’s greater plans. We simply cannot know so many perspectives of the whys and whens of our lives and then in those precious moments God’s quiet, still voice simply is present as we experience his magnificent grace in putting us exactly where we are to be at that moment for our best good. Could you get excited about letting go and letting someone who knows your best path lead you?
This year as you embrace your New Year’s resolutions, word of the year, or thoughts I encourage you to include in your plans the practice towards embracing Grace. God’s provision for your heart, your mind, and life. Embrace trust. Embrace faith. Embrace hope. Embrace peace…and begin to embrace the truth that God’s plan is for your good, your best life when you rest in Him.
Let’s take this life we’ve been given and live it!
