Alice in Wonderland seems to be taking over my life at home. If its not an unending list of Mom’s todo’s, its a quaint office that has to function as though we’re corporate in a 6 x 9′ space….or a set or two of dogs who run through because the lab figured out how to mouth open the doorknobs from outside by herself Tadah! Today I had the best morning as I completed some work early, then worked on other new projects from my desk. I had an elderly gent working in my yard today, a friend who needed work. Nothing like being regaled with wonderful tales of life when you can snatch 10 minutes here and there at the end to hear his former life tales. Meanwhile Dh had taken off to work on schooling with dear daughter and to prepare some errands that needed to be done only he could handle.
Its noon now…and I feel like I crossed the finish line for the day. Lofty goals we faced this week after a week on the road, but its coming together now six days into being home.
The best gift of the day…a unexpected visit with a neighbor I have long wanted to know. She’s a stay at home mom who juggles too as she is a Southern Living at Home consultant and former Chemical Engineer now engineering three boys kindergarten on down and surviving it! I can’t wait to find some more time to learn each other….yeah for another kind hearted intelligent life form simply down the street! (someday she may even see me when I’m not so scary without hair and makeup!…it always boosts my Mary Kay image once an acquaintance has seen the natural “before” …as in “wow, MK sure works!” lol)
The afternoon is for family and then quieter times tonight as Dh and I have our usual Friday night payday date night!
God is good! Praise Him for loving me despite me!
