This morning I am happy to say that its FRIDAY! Son2 just informed me he made a 90% on a Geometry exam and that his Biology grade was good too. He won his first varsity football game last night. I conquered my own war with my new bank by being able to send out payments from it this week, which is pretty darn near a miracle for me, new visual things are challenging.
I went to Kroger yesterday and they had whole chickens for 2.42, large ones that were on sale, so my freezer has 5 of those babies in it now. Love roasting whole chickens upside down with vegetables in the broth….makes the best chicken pot pies, chicken noodle broth, and simple baked chicken dinners. If you do this in a crock pot, put the chicken breast side down on 3 balls of aluminum foil to raise it off the floor of the crock pot. Season liberally and it tastes like rotissere chicken as opposed to soupy, mess.
Tonight is date night with Dh. We’re celebrating my birthday Sunday a week bit early. My Son1’s birthday is my own, and he takes exception to the fact I have the nerve to think its mine that day. He leaves for college that day….some of us won’t mention that it may be the best gift for both of us! lol I will so miss him! He’s my “get it done” boy where chores are concerned, just keeps it happening without fussing.
I hear Mrs. Goofy is out yard sailing without me today….sure do wish I was up her way!
