There is always one place that I seem to return to in my life. Its a tug o war between my goals for how I live my life and the needs of our family financially and emotionally. When we conquered bringing me home a few years ago, it was not an easy decision. Financially, it meant truly commiting our values and doing without extras. As time went on, we found that outside work for me was a part of what I enjoy, so we explored ways to allow me to do a few things part time from home. As time has taken away dross, it seems that much of our family’s needs are based on someone, that being me, being available at home.
I am glad that I have a husband who desires, plans, and chooses to have me home. I am thankful for the challenges it brings, and aware always that this is the life we chose, come feast or famine, and that I am blessed.

When I decided to stay home 11 years ago, it was a very tough decision but the best one for our family. Now we homeschool both boys and I do some part-time work out of our home.
Thanks for stopping by my post on Heart of the Matter. I appreciate the comments. We are truly blessed to be able to homeschool our kids.
