Happy December! We’re preparing for year two in the cottage at Christmas. Last year we had gutted the cottage and faced the holidays with little running water and no kitchen. How thankful I was to have a sink for Christmas after weeks of washing dishes in the bathtub! We were just getting the walls up after rebuilding joists and living breezy until Dec 15th!
This year we’re working on the one and only restroom in the cottage. For a solid year and a half we’ve had plastic over where the tile should be, makeshift counters and walls. This week Santa arrived early when two workers were found to do the work with our tile!
The tree is up and Babe, our geriatric labrador oversaw this morning’s effort at the beginning to decorate. She’s always in the middle of it all and has been for many years. She’s the 4th generation of her family of labs we’ve raised and we wouldn’t know what to do without her.
What are you doing for the holidays this year in your home?
