Its quiet here, the fire is glowing…the sun soon to rise outside…I love this time of the morning, a time of reflection and quiet conversations with God. The rabbit is nesting nearby and the two little black dogs are in my office curled up in one bed. The morning always brings a time of reflection for me, of planning and releasing and acknowledgement of whether I am or am not on the path I set out to be that day…..
My guest leaves this morning. She has rested and perhaps relaxed for a bit, but her life requires her back ten hours away. It was a quiet visit, but one we designed on respite, not racuous this round……an escape. She met my friend here. I am glad they are friends….it is a good match the two of them. Alive, vibrant, and deeply insightful both of them…..and yet it was indeed in some ways like being the outsider….and once again I was that God is indeed expecting me to rely on Him, not anyone else……to pour out to Him….to trust Him….to allow His thoughts to mold and remake me…..who can be sad about a Father in heaven who so calls to his child?
A little black and white dog just jumped his gate and headed straight to swoop on my feet on the couch. Time to get crackin he says, feed the dog, and get on to your chores….
God is good…
