Monday is here again and believe me, my kitchen is glad its homeblessing day! We’re all home safely and soundly for which I am extremely thankful.
The last few weeks we’ve been enacting some choice changing to support more family time and much more peace in our existence, and it has been a good thing. Some of the more surprising changes were simpler evenings, simpler meals, and simpler expectations…..but more than routines…the more important changes involved recognizing some of the world’s values that we do not agree with and absolutely calling them out and agreeing as a family that it wasn’t the way we wished to go. (example: a teen friend in conversation said “its just natural for teens and parents to be on opposite ends……when we see the truth as “we’ve always been honest with one another, distance and concealments are chosen actions….yes, as you get older you need more freedom and as you get older our honesty with each other will allow that)
The kitchen calls….I’m not sure a single piece of silverware exists clean in the drawer….not even the baby spoons….so its off to be the “staff” this morning and hopefully done in time for the “schoolmarm” to show up mid morning.
Be blessed!
