Leaving on time, with what we needed sans toothbrushes

Seeing our children respond to not knowing where we were going

Playing riddle games with two children in the car for over an hour and the laughing that followed each answer

Saying “yes” more than having to say “no”

Sharing a grown up, dress up meal with our family as a family last night….with each child delighting in their entree’ and the service. All of us enjoying the talk time as family.

Going swimming 2x a day already……and enjoying shows and shops between times….

Realizing we saved $262 in fees by planning ahead for parks and shows!

A rainy forcast being totally wrong!

The faces on my children and husband after very kind of “We don’t allow that junk in the house” food in a weekend away basket brought in the hotel room with cart blanche on “do with it as you will” and I simply didn’t say “no” to any of it at any time.

Waking up to my children happily excited about a waffle breakfast at the hotel….and swimming for dessert!

Great family meeting mid day where we affirmed our goals for this school year, we set goals as a family and as individuals. …this whole thing didn’t take 30 minutes but was OH so meaningful and will be posted at home as we chart progress!

A few simple surprises for the children…..new jammies for D2, new Nike flip flops for Son2, a gift basket at home for Son1 of his favorite foods, movies and a game….something fun for every one. (from an earlier purchase so this budget wouldn’t have to cover it)

Realizing that Bass Pro Shop is here, a lost gift card was redeemable even lost, and son2 had another one….that meant he had $250 to spend he didn’t know he had! Wahoo!

God has so blessed our time as family and for this I am thankful!
