It was a good Friday. Daughter and I went to Birmingham by mid morning, spent a wonderful four hours together then I put her on a flight to Texas to her uncles. One of the highlights was to go to the Cheesecake factory for a lunch enroute to the airport.
Today I have the whole house quiet and by myself. It is a rare thing and one that always invigorates me to “get something done” and that is exactly what I plan to do. Dh has been in Colorado instead of San Diego this week. His project at work is bringing a huge contract from Denver to our plant here. He works for the government and oversees products contracted through civilians for the government. This project involves a large amount of people and budget so he’s flying back and forth a good bit.
We’re still on the track as we simplify what had been going on in our lives the last few weeks. It is a good thing to embrace saying “no” more often to interruptions of family life and to enjoy time together instead.
Its been a good week and the weekend is here. I’ll pick up daughter on Sunday afternoon in Birmingham again, a short fun trip to her aunt and uncles! God is good!
