Dh and I drove around Madison, Alabama this morning and enjoyed an hour driving together. We scored a Caphlehon pan for .50 cents and a fall plate for apples for .10 cents. I think Dh was most pleased with a $1.00 5 gallon camoflouged hunting seat bucket for this afternoons dove hunt. I’d say that $6.00 by the time you add the gallon of gas used was well worth it for a wonderful date morning alone together on an overcast rainy day.
This afternoon we’re watching Nim’s Island with Madison while the boys do their hunting. The mail brought a free magazine and we had homemade chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and freshly picked apples from the tree close to Madison. It was a good lunch!
Tonight is a slow down night, a roast in the crock pot in the fridge ready for tomorrow after church, plans for a board game or another movie together. More family talk time of what we truly want to do for the goals….
God is good….life is slow today…and for that I am thankful!
