Last night we sat in the lightly raining stadium to see son watch his team get beaten in the second half. I am impressed that he works out 15-20 hours per week, then often stands the sidelines, yet keeps on keeping on for the opportunity another day. Perserverence is a lesson in itself and I am proud of him for trying.
Today its wet and quiet. Dh is at his second job for the day, the children are sleeping, and all is well with the world. I went to bed with the kitchen scrubbed and clean and I intend to do that more often. It is the second focus in our home when you walk in and its just defeating when I don’t have it picked up.
Yesterday I got out the Royal Stafford dishes I bought a year ago…..and decided they are for today…not someday…a rich black and ivory farm scene, they call fall to our table. This time of year, fall to Christmas is my favorite season…I love fall colors and crispness…and most of all I love that the old falls way to prepare for the rebirth in the spring.
This morning what ever has held me captive on sickness is gone for the most part. I think I’m finally understanding what allergies mean to others. I have woken up sick or feeling rotten for a week….and then my bp has been rotten on top of it, so it wasn’t my week.
Tomorrow my children’s choir performs for the first time. Hopeing they simply enjoy signing to the Lord…that’s the goal…..knowing my group though we’ll be an entertaining part of the service as well….they are hilarious in their natural.
Have a great Saturday!
