The name of my business is She’s So There because it simply defined who we were…we were present… We’re “there”…personally, professionally walking with our clients as they choose to engage in the skills that help them succeed. When I began, I was “there” personally to as a young single at that time professionally facing working full time as an educator, building this business while I worked, and raising two on my own. The tools and tips I was teaching were hard fought for and learned in my own world. In learning, I was then able to share through teaching to businesses how to grow.
At forty-seven She’s So There takes on a new twist as one who has almost completed raising her children as they approach late teen years and the doors open to new stages in our lives. The business continues to thrive and grow because after all, after almost a decade in business you learn, and the more you learn the more you grow. I’ve almost become convinced that the real secret to success is so simply keep learning. The techniques and skill sets we’ve learned we learned from trying what didn’t work and making better choices. The preparations that we now can so succinctly affirm must happen for social media or marketing success, were defined and measured as missing when others didn’t do them. The same is true for what works at home. We’re an old fashioned lot in the Berry home, we hold family as something precious that must be protected..for far too many of our friends have taught us that without care, you lose families as they grow up.
Someone said the other day that I was entering the fall of my life at forty-seven. I believe it’s more the summer, you see in the summer that which we grow begins to burst through the darkness. The struggle to break free of the dormancy and seedling stage has occurred. We begin to take root and truly produce in the summer of our life and I believe that is where this stage of my life is going. Oh yes, I am aware that at 47 there are many seasons that are ending, but really…today is the day I have…and I’d prefer to grow, bear fruit, and choose to deepen our roots for the next twenty years as we become the support, the shade, and the forger of new paths for others to follow or improve the path we lay.
The end of May is here, much like the end of my first forty-seven years, but June is a month for growing and I personally am ready to harvest new fruit in my life…how about you?

If yours is the Fall, I must be beyond twilight. 🙂
I agree, that all the lessons we learn and then are able to teach, whether they are in social media, raising children or in life, are often hard-won. But they are only truly valuable if we pass them on, and help the whole community grow and flourish.
And true, the only day that we have to make any kind of impact is today. And we need to keep growing, blossoming, learning , teaching and growing some more. We are here to do a job…”the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”
Happy 47th
