This week I am happy to report there are so many more things to be thankful than my usual! The eye doctor reports that my eyes are in fact healing and I should be seeing normally by Christmas! Cleared by the doctor to drive by myself after seven weeks of not driving is huge for this girl! I’m still pretty limited and cautious because I never truly know how long focusing will last, but I can manage for short days and simply plan for rest periods for my eyes.
I’ve accepted a new position for work that I am pretty excited to be doing. My great friend David Cooper has asked me to become his Events Coordinator for ASK David Cooper and for the internet television studio Hopes, Goals, & Dreams iTV. I have often worked on projects for both of his entities, but only as a project driven part of an event or production. This summer, Les and I were privileged to work with the Cooper organization together a bit and one thing lead to another….well…and after much prayerful consideration, I have decided to accept David’s offer to coordinate his HGDiTV world and David Cooper Events. Most of my work can be done from Alabama, however I will be in the Nashville Studios as well.
Thelma Wells, “Mama T” has exciting news this week as well, she’s been told that her book “Don’t Give In God wants YOU to win” is the #1 selling Family Christian Bookstore book this week! Yay for Thelma!!! She is one of the most genuine loving speakers I have ever known personally and a truly God annointed teacher and leader. I am blessed to call her friend.
Allison Worthington aka Mrs. Fussypants is also celebrating the release of her first ebook “The Smart Girls Guide to Twitter” and it an amazing guide for anyone who truly wants to know the ins and outs and all abouts Twitter as a Social Media Tool and how to use it confidently. Go Alli!!!
I was blessed with the nicest experience today, got to meet Andrew and Mary Ann Heller in Nashville at HGDiTV and their friend Betsyann , Andrew is an accomplished singer and was in town for the Inspirational Music Awards but he is a multi-talented brilliant man, (an IBM Fellow at 27, a computer creator, one of the original designers of the Digital Television creation, this man is amazing and so personable!) How fun to meet such innovative and brilliant people!
Working around so many talented folks surely allows me to know God creates so many gifts for all of us, diverse gifts that are truly unique and meant for the purposes He inspires each person to use them, and we are truly only conveyers of his gifts to others.
Most of all I am thankful that God is God and He continues to amaze this clay as he reshapes and realigns what and how we do what we do….
It has been a period of change the last six months and I believe slowly but surely I am getting back to the pace that allows me to be the person I hoped to be, one day at a a time….and enjoy helping and serving others….I am simply thankful for all of it today!
Hugs!
Sweetie
