It is a good morning! Yesterday I had a heck of a time getting to Lady Trista….I ended up downtown Birmingham on an errand, while I was there I saw a woman pedestrian hit by the car in front of me….it was not a good way to start the day . That detoured me for a good while while I held the driver who hit the lady. The lady was badly hurt it seemed. The driver was trying to deal with all the Earth Day children and just didn’t see this sweet lady cross the street…I don’t think anyone could have….
Trista is a beautiful green eyed maiden. We had a really slow start since I was 45 minutes late! It was Tom Tom’s fault, well actually a manager’s..he put his home address on their internet addy for the business not the actual business address! Tom Tom took me straight to the center of residential houses in Birmingham. Those of you who know my vision know that I was on the phone calling for someone to “find” me! Ooooh the embarassment of it! We then did what sensible business women do….we discussed life over a manicure!
Arriving home in time to slide into my pew as the first hymn began, I loved being in church last night. I had so much to thank God for and so much to share with Les about the day later! God is moving in our church, change is happening and the air is filled with God’s promise and excitement. Of course with new staff and changes comes new stresses, so my prayers are that strife not be allowed to enter our building, but our people become known as the church where you can come, as you are, and be loved.
This morning Madison is touring ULA where my husband’s office is based. They make satellite rockets there that are 3 football stadiums long. This is the only day of the year a child is invited in to see where dad works! Exciting stuff, then she gets to go to NASA in Huntsville, that is one happy little girl!
Meanwhile its almost time to have breakfast with Mrs. Goofy….I am telling you I live the blessed life! After breakfast Sweetwrites! has me writing until 2 or so, then I get the luxury of putting out new plants in our beds! Yay!
God is good and I am so excited about what He has going on in our community!
