Dh arrived home last nigh after choir and we were all glad to see him! I particularly was glad that tonight at the first varsity game, I won’t be sitting as the “single parent” I was for so many years at school events. We’ll all go tonight and its going to be a family event.
Today is filled with writing, today I have an early conference call, homeschooling, then a day at the desk. I love these kind of days.
We met a new friend last night at church. It turns out she was about six houses down the street since we’ve moved here. My kind of girl, she had her four year old at forty or so. Yeah, finally another mother who isn’t a decade younger than I am! She’s a fun number too.
I enjoyed two of Steve Green’s songs with the children last night in choir. They were terrific last night. I spent alot of time warming them up. Teaching them to come up and go down from where we’ll sing, and then we learned two songs. They were good enough at the end of 30 minutes I could have had them sing Sunday, but we’re waiting for Grandparent’s Sunday on Sept 7th. How exciting to have children loving on the Lord in song!
It’s a good day, and one in which I know I’ll get to finish a project ….which is always a better day!
