Last night we visited another church in another town. Greeted warmly, they had it going on where recognizing visitors were involved. The sermon was one of Biblical truths…of how we are in a failing economy but the church does not live by worldly events…that Christ is coming back to the glorified church…that Abraham’s promises are for today for those who have a 1:1 relationship with God. The minister taught, TAUGHT folks, that’s the first lesson we’ve heard since coming in Alabama and I have to tell you tears were in my eyes not for the lesson learned but because the entire congregation in discussion during the teach were voicing their understanding and passionate responses to Biblical principles that we all need in our lives. The minister asked us to become aware that without passion for Christ that we will have difficulty drawing near to him…that we will keep an arms length away from all things we are not willing to be in tight fellowship with…..allowing God to see us and know us as we are up close and personal…and allow that closeness to change us.
Coming home and before the service we had alot of tension between schedules and pickings up and going….notice how its always that way when you are trying to do something to grow closer to God? I had my choir practice at our current church, then we went to another town to experience a friend of our at home minister’s church. Truthfully, we’ll probably not join this church, but continue to visit a couple of other places we have been listening to, but it solidified for us that where we are cannot continue to be our church home. A sad moment but one that is concrete now!
Many blessings are abounding, God is God, and I want to know him each moment in my day….not just sometimes!

I know this is tough, but God is faithful. I continue to pray for you all. Sometimes obedience is excruciating! Lots of love, Paige.
