This morning the rain came down and continued all morning, apparently the rain has some kind of cooking blessing in it for we’ve made 10 lbs of chicken quarters into soups, casseroles and dressings, a venison pot of vegetable soup, 60 homemade rolls and a pan of grismill cornbread. Yahoo. Food cooling for the freezer and dinner for tonight. Love it. Last day home for Chaser before school starts, laundry done and ready for tomorrow.
Its almost 1 p.m., still raining and I’m heading to sit down for a movie for a while then bake some oatmeal cookies late in the afternoon so they will be ready when Dh comes in.
