We have had a quiet weekend and a wonderful Monday. Nothing exciting, simply quiet times together, bumming around used stores, watching movies together, a Sunday school Christmas party, just quietness.
The children are having a good time in South Arkansas. Their natural father is getting married in February and there are all kinds of new news for them to be a part of. Its unexpected news and they seem to like the new girlfriend/fiancee’ and of course it is good that he has found someone to share his life with.
My facebook has been closed. We had an interesting parenting issue with my son’s facebook and in the process they were both closed by facebook. It opened a whole new perspective on how facebook cannot protect your children and will not work with you even if authorities are involved. Their attitude is “its not our problem.” So parents beware, people do get to your children even if on “protected” modes and some of those people are predators.
This morning I am giving myself one of the best Christmas presents to me….I’m hiring someone to help spit polish the house for a few hours so that I can enjoy the house. I am seriously bad at cleaning so it looks clean, and this time after many days of decluttering and trying, I’m bringing in someone who knows what she is doing to get it ready for Christmas eve and the children’s return this weekend.
I cannot brag on Mrs. Goofy enough for her ravioli lasanga recipe. We’ve gone to two different types of ravioli layered with traditional meat sauce (cheese and mushroom ravioli) and added a layer of spinach and ricotta. It gets better each day …and freezes beautifully.
Tator is home alone with me this week. He’s a better boy without Mr. Bingley…..now Iknow who’s ideas all the naughtiness is!
Be blessed, God is good!
