I am thanking God for the energy burst he gave me yesterday to get alot accomplished. It was sooo good to see the closet this morning, to know that the bags are leaving today, and to know
that it sets the stage to get more done today.
A friend may be coming this weekend. How exciting is that to have a girlfriend in when the rest of the lugs are leaving town Friday. She told me she didn’t want to come if it stressed me out to clean, but truthfully, an hour or two and I’d be ready after yesterday…..and that would be mainly to sweep and mop the 1800 sft…..for the laundry is about caught up and the rooms are in good shape.
Madison has a last year’s Christmas dress she dislikes greatly, but we love the material, so we’re remaking it for an extra holiday dress this year. My sewing skills are not built for this, but after seeing what the stores are selling and the prices for no more than what they are, I think I can handle it. It has a plaid pattern to it in red and green and she has velvet shirts for the holiday, so I’ll remake the dress into a long skirt with a cumberband to wear to holiday parties with one of her shirts. She is excited, I’m a little more breathless….for its not my forte, but its an easy project.
We did the shrimp alfredo and homemade rolls last night, pizza tonight. The recipes turned out well and I was so tickled with the alfredo, it was the first from scratch sauce that absolutely was what I wanted it to be. yeah!
I think with a friend perhaps coming, I’ll go ahead and get the tree out early, for its relaxing to sit and visit by a tree with the lights twinkling…..this weekend will be about relaxing and re energizing for her and that is good.
Tonight is the new schedule’s date night, we’re changing it to Tuesdays over the children’s sport schedules….so Dh and I will go out for an hour or two and be home by 9…..date nights are important, no matter how tight the budget or schedule, if you don’t nurture relationships they too suffer from lack of attention….and I have ever intention of being married happily ever after for about the next 60 years!

date nights are wonderful! Even if they are during the day. 🙂 We had a date today, and it was very nice. Out to eat, do a little home improvement shopping, and just be together to talk. Very nice and very needed. I feel energized.
