We didn’t end up at the movie, Chaser was too tired, and we ended up watching Biggest Loser instead and heading to bed early.
This morning its brisk outside and I have alot to get done today. It seems despite doing heavy laundry on Monday I need to do more today. Its also a day to walk around with my trash bag and fill it from the rooms cans but also to find 10 things per room that can be stored or gotten rid of…..seasonal changes mean more decluttering on the first of each month….can you believe its the 1st of October?
Yesterday I listened to another sermon from Gregory Dickow and I have to say it spoke to me again. He was asking his audience are they prepared to give up being “in charge” of worry, stress, financial success, etc. His point was if we are continually planting ourselves in the ways God teaches us, tomorrows shouldn’t worry us, that if we are sewing into our lives obedience to tithing, teaching our children scripture, living in love, and believing in the promises God gives us our relationship with God will take care of the things we take upon ourselves, after all, God promises us provision, abundance, health, and all of what we need in the promises of Abraham for those who follow God’s laws.
I find this to be very true. As Les and I have focused for the last few weeks on letting go of that which makes sense in the world, and focused on doing what God has led us to do, our finances and stresses have worked themselves out….it does not make sense in the worldly view, but that does not lessen the fact that bills are paid and money is in savings now…..God is God and his ways are not our own.
We are focusing on listening and waiting as we continue to connect Scriptural life lessons to our present circumstances. God is God and he is good.
