We did a trip home to Arkansas last weekend. Always an adventure, we chose to take all 4 of our dogs with us this trip over the 920 miles it would be. Three black and white fluffs and a lab plus our nineteen year old daughter in dear husband’s king cab truck. The travellers were all lovely the entire trip. Amazing.
In Arkansas the jonquils were gone but the lillies and azaleas were in bloom as were the dogwoods. Spring had sprung and it was simply lovely, the weather featured chilly mornings and mid sixties afternoons. Dear husband did a mountain man’s load of timber work, cutting down and up three trees that storms had taken down. He not only got them on the ground, chunked them up, then hauled them to the back of our property. That’s love folks, true love to drive 20 hours to work 9.
This morning we’re back in Alabama the rain is softly falling. I love coming home to our tacky brown house, it is indeed my perch and I am thankful for it.
