A beautiful use of an older home

| Sweetie Berry | No Comments

While I was in Northwest Arkansas I was privileged to meet and spend time with Bob David of the new Scissortail Community and Leadership Builders.  An unplanned stop on the schedule, my friend and host for the week, Angela Belford of The Belford Group, was kind enough to allow me along on her community open house event. I was enchanted with how the builders had chosen not to tear down a simply ranch home but used its presence to stage a welcome center as they build the community center and homes. The house had had a revival and I was there to witness that beauty that only a fresh renovation can bring. What a privilege to see the integrity of the workers and the joy of staging the home office right before the grand opening event with the Mayor! Here’s a sneak peak:

Personally I just loved the pieces and the warmth of the room. The fireplace and wood wall gives me ideas for my new master bedroom fireplace wall.

Bob David, the builder, was kind to answer my questions as we staged the home before the guests arrived. I have to appreciate a fellow who values beauty in homes as well as workmanship and Scissortail homes will be amazing. I cannot wait to check on their progress on an upcoming trip!

You  know I loved seeing all the cute touches and fall colors used in new ways. What a privilege to see this new community long before the million dollar homes will come to life this fall. I know that it will be a favorite place to visit in upcoming years!
