Sometimes as a wife/mom/worker we do everything we can for every one in our world except ourselves. You can read what God taught me about that here….. Blissdom 09, a blogger’s convention, was on my “What I want for Christmas List” actually, it was the ONLY thing on my list. However, my husband’s travel schedule was in conflict and we don’t have family backup since we moved 500 miles from family…..later when all things moved to allow Les’s trip to be cancelled and for me to go, not only was my believed to have been already registered was non existant, it couldn’t be repurchased because they were sold out.
The convention was less than 100 miles from my home, personally I want the jewel in my crown for not going anyway and simply breathing the air that those girls experience in the lobby….but God is God and there had to be a plan on why it worked this way…and we did indeed have a great consolation Date night Friday, in fact, it was so good, we repeated it by going out again on Saturday afternoon! We did an impromptu Valentine’s party for daughter Saturday morning with her friends, and son2 got to go to a last minute invitation to Winter Formal, THE event in this town for teenagers….and I was home to make the run for a new suit and formal attire for him, so the weekend was good….if different than I planned! But truly, I know today that I did indeed miss a good time reported by all!
So for Sarah, Rhoda, and Nester and others whom I had looked so forward to meeting in person and learning with and along side you….save me a seat, Blissdom 10 is mine!
