My handsome husband and I after joining our Central Park Baptist church in our new hometown!

One of the most joyful days for me each year is Resurrection Sunday. That no matter what the world did to our Christ, no matter what came against Him, that even when he was crucified on a cross….nothing defeated Him…..that He lives and has taken the burden of our imperfection and replaced it with eternal hope for all of us who believe in Him! This year is especially blessed as our family joined Central Park Baptist Church of Decatur as official members with our new minister Brother Jackie and Sweet Libby Kay! (They didn’t even have to count the votes to let us in!! it was great time with our new church family!) My friend Brother Carley and his wife Tina will be so happy to know we have finally seen the light..lol….Baptist we are! (there was a time I would have said absolutely never would this be true! Having grown up a Methodist in a town with a friendly rivalry between the two congregations, we’ll be teased about being traitors at home in Arkansas!) But God has drawn us to this church family and here we are until God moves us!

You see Sweetie and our minister’s wife Sweet Libby are already sisters in Christ and now we are sisters in our family at church as well! God is good! Our Kimmy and Joe are celebrating a week of marriage in Oklahoma. Our son Lesley is in Arkansas at college having Easter with his friends….Madison is enjoying all the spring flowers blooming in the yard and dying yet more egss this afternoon! Chase also has a new puppy Drake…for today is a time of life and celebration and letting go to receive the new gift of life through Jesus Christ’s ressurection ….He Lives!

My sweet husband bought me pumps to match as well as Madison an outfit that coordinated and I got to live one of my adulthood dreams…..a new mother-daughter dress, hat, and shoes to match for Easter Sunday….God has truly restored my dream of having a happy family, we had the best breakfast together, enjoyed being in worship together….and I realized just how far God has restored this life of mine!
I am so blessed in this blended life of ours! God IS good!
