Yesterday I pulled up the grades on my son’s school access. Yuck. It turns out that all those days that I was asking him “how is it going” we were not on the same page on the topic of “school assignments” He is in the process of correcting a few tactical errors, but this Mom was not kind nor happy when she saw two really low grade averages.
We want our children to be honest with us. The truth is, I can handle anything my children bring to me, but when they choose to float the line and not share their struggles, I get very very frustrated that they are misleading me, lying to me, about their situation.
Don’t you figure that God feels the same way about us? That he gets so saddened by our withholding our hearts, our struggles our needs…..after all, he has access to every thing we’re facing or hiding from Him.
